Bengal Engineering and Science University, applications are invited from Indian Nationals only for admission into M.Sc. courses in Basic and Applied Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Applied Geology and Food Processing & Nutrition Sciences) for the session 2012-13. Interested candidates can refer this post for more details and apply. Eligibility: 


For M.Sc in Physics:
 

  • BSc Hons. or equivalent in Physics from a recognized Indian University.

  • 55% marks in Hons. or equivalent (45% SC / ST candidates) subject with Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects.


For M.Sc in Chemistry:

  • BSc (Hons.) or equivalent in Chemistry from a recognized Indian University.

  • 55% marks in Hons. or equivalent (45% SC / ST candidates) subject with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiary subjects.


For M.Sc in Applied Mathematics:

  • BSc (Hons.) or equivalent in Mathematics from a recognized Indian University.

  • 50% marks in Hons. Or equivalent (40% SC / ST candidates) subject.


For M.Sc in Applied Geology:

  • BSc (Hons.) or equivalent in Geology from a recognized Indian University. 

  • Or

  • BSc (Hons or equivalent in any subject with 55% (45% SC / ST candidates) marks in Hons. and Geology as a subsidiary subject with 55% (45% SC / ST candidates) marks from a recognized Indian University.



For M.Sc in Food Processing & Nutrition Science: 

BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Chemistry / Physiology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Food and Nutrition Science / Genetics from a recognized Indian University.


55% (45% SC / ST candidates) marks in Hons. or equivalent Subject.



Chemistry as one of the Subsidiary subjects in BSc iv) Mathematics may be one subject in HS.
