Category I: 


1. Geologist, Group “A”: 300



2. Assistant Geologist Grade-I (Group 'B'): 67posts



Qualification: 


(a) Master’s degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo- Exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Petroleum Geosciences or Geochemistry from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956)


Category II:


1. Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B), Group “A”: 03posts


2. Assistant Hydrogeologists, Group “B”: 12posts

Qualification: 

Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational Institutes established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or 


(b) Master’s degree in Hydrogeology from a recognized University.


Fee: 

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/ PH who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card


Scheme of Examination: 

The examination shall be conducted according to the following Plan:


Part I: Written examination

1) General English, 3hrs & 100Marks


2) Geology Paper I, 3hrs & 200Marks


3) Geology Paper II, 3hrs & 200Marks


4) Geology Paper III, 3hrs & 200Marks


5) Hydrogeology, 3hrs & 200Marks


Part II: 

Interview for personality Test of such candidates as may be called by the Commission, carrying a maximum of 200 marks.
