Value of the contest: • All participants will receive a certificate.  • The best submission, regardless of category, wins the grand prize Eligibility: Individuals, small teams of two to six, and large teams of seven or more are judged separately. Entries are also grouped by age/grade of the oldest contestant for judging.  The age groups are 7th and under, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th.  The grand prize is awarded to the best entry regardless of contestant age. Students develop space settlement designs and related materials. These are sent to NASA Ames for judgment. Important Note:  Students from outside of the U.S. planning on attending the ISDC should apply as soon as possible for a passport and visa. It may take some time (months) to acquire one.  If you need a letter of invitation, please use the form at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGxGNXJYcFYzalVBWm1sS0VMYUd4SEE6MA#gid=0  ONLY if that does not work, requests for letters of invitation can be sent to  nss-students@comcast.net  along with the school name, address, and names of students, teachers, or family members needing the letter.
