INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF DIRECTOR, JAWAHARLAL NEHRU MANIPUR DANCE ACADEMY, IMPHAL, MANIPUR
Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the post of Director, Jawharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal, Manipur in the scale of pay PB - 3 Rs.15,600-39100 with grade pay of Rs. 6,600/- with usual allowances. The JNMDA is a constituent unit of the Sangeet Natak Akademi, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi. The post is to be filled on contract/ deputation basis.

Essential Qualifications and Experience :
(a) Post Graduate Degree preferably in humanities / social sciences / music / dance / drama
(b) Understanding and knowledge of performing arts as performer / writer /producer
(c) Experience in formulating, planning and administering of projects / schemes dealing with performing arts specially in Manipuri dance and music.
(d) Knowledge of Government Rules and Regulations
Age limit: As on 23rd April 2012 (closing date of receipt of application), between 40-50 years, relaxable by 5 years in case of persons employed in Central Govt./State Govt./autonomous body.
How to apply: Applications on plain paper as per the prescribed format duly typed supported with copies of certificates / testimonials and two passport size photographs, complete in all respects be sent in a sealed envelope superscribing
‘Application for the post of Director, JNMDA addressed to the Secretary, Sangeet Natak Akademi, Rabindra Bhavan, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi – 110 001 so as to reach the Akademi on or before 23rd April 2012. Those employed in Central or State Governments / Autonomous bodies / Public Sector Undertakings should route their applications through proper channel.
They may however send one advance copy of application alongwith enclosures.
Unemployed SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid IInd class train/bus fare by the shortest route as per rules on submission of original tickets.
Incomplete or unsigned application without photograph or late applications will be summarily rejected.
Note: The Akademi reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
