BITS Pilani PG / Ph.D Programs 2012 – 2013 

Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission into the following Higher Degree (PG) and Ph.D. (Doctorate of Philosophy) Programs at its Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses for the Academic Year 2012 – 2013.  Interested students can refer this post for more details and apply. PG Programs at BITS Campuses in Pilani, Goa & Hyderabad


ME (Master of Engineering): 

Biotechnology, Chemical, Chemical (with specialization in Petroleum Engineering), Civil (with specialization in Structural Engineering / Transportation Engineering / Infrastructure Systems), Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Design Engineering, Embedded Systems, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Microelectronics, Software Systems 


M.Pharm:

• M. Pharm
• M. Pharm with specialization in Pharmaceutics
• M. Pharm with specialization in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
• MBA (Master of Business Administration)

Eligibility: 

A minimum of 60% aggregate in qualifying examination.


Note: 
(i) Admissions to M.E. / M. Pharm are based on performance in computer-based online test conducted by BITS. The online tests will be held during 3rd-4th June 2012 at centers in India.


(ii) For MBA Program, in addition to online test as in (i) above candidates shortlisted will also have to appear for a test in Reading Comprehension, GD and Interview to be held in Pilani on 27th July 2012.

Ph.D. Programs at BITS Campuses in Pilani, Goa & Hyderabad

• Input qualification: M.E / M. Pharm. / MBA / M. Phil of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate.
• Candidates with an M.Sc. / B.E. / B. Pharm or an equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate will also be considered for Ph.D. admission.
• For Ph.D. Program in Languages and Humanities, candidates with an M.A. and with minimum of 55% aggregate may also be considered.
• Industries and R&D organizations collaborating with BITS may sponsor candidates to work for Ph.D. under “Aspirants scheme”. Its details are available at www.bitsadmission.com
• For the Ph.D. Programs shortlisted candidates will be asked to come to Pilani / Goa /
• Hyderabad for test and / or interview during 2nd week of July.

How to Apply:

• Eligible candidates may apply through the prescribed application form available online at www.bitsadmission.com and take a printout of the filled form.
• The completed application form along with the proof of fee payment of Rs 1600 should be sent to Admission officer, BITS, Pilani-333031.
