Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla invites applications from the eligible candidates for HP Combined Pre-Medical Entrance Test (HP-CPMET – 2012) for admission into MBBS and BDS Courses in Govt. HP-CPMET – 2012 / Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla Combined Pre-Medical Entrance Test 2012
Eligibility:
(i) Age Limit: The candidate should have already completed or should complete the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 years of age on 31st December, 2012.
(ii) Educational Qualifications: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examinations of a University / Board established by law in India with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects which shall include a practical test with 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) provided that the candidate has qualified the subject of English in the above examination Or B.Sc.
Degree with 50% Marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) of a University established by law in India with any three subjects out of Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physiology, Physics, Human Anatomy and Bio-Chemistry; provided that such a candidate must have passed the Pre-Medical or an equivalent examination of Board/University established by law in India.
Note: The candidates who have appeared / appearing in 10+2 or its equivalent examination can also apply.
Selection Process:
Selection Process for admission will be made on the basis of candidates performance in MCQ (Objective type) based entrance test, followed by counseling, to be conducted by the University.
Test Centers: Shimla, Mandi, Dharamshala and Hamirpur
How to Apply:
Candidates can obtain the prescribed application form and information brochure from the University Exam Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter, Library Building (Basement), Summer Hill, Shimla-5, between March 29, 2012 and April 28, 2012 on all working days.
The same can also be obtained on cash payment of Rs 1500/- (for General Candidates) / Rs 750/- (for SC/ST candidates). However, NRI candidates will have to pay US$ 40 or equivalent in Rupees for the same.
Candidates can also obtain the application form-cum-information brochure through post by sending a request addressed to the Assistant Registrar (Entrance Tests), HP University, Summer Hill, Shimla-171 005, along with a crossed IPOs/Bank Draft of Rs 1600/- (for General candidates) / Rs 850/- (for SC/ST candidates) and an amount of US$ 60 (for NRIs) or equivalent in Rupees drawn in favor of the Finance Officer, HP University, Shimla.
NRI candidates (Foreign Students) will have to send their completely applications directly to the Principal of the concerned college / institute on or before May 31st, 2012.
Note: NRI candidates not required to take the entrance test.
