Junagadh Agricultural University invites applications in the prescribed form for the interested eligible candidates for the following vacant posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor faculty of Veterinary. Science and Animal Husbandry are invited in the categories as mentioned below:
1. Professor & its equivalent: 09posts
Qualification:
(a) Second Class Bachelor's degree in the concerned faculty.
(b) A Master's degree in the concerned faculty with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
(c) Ph.D. in subject related to the concerned field.
(d) An eminent scholar with published work of high quality, actively engaged in research, with 10 years of experience in post-graduate teaching and /
or
experience in research at the University / National level institutions including experience of guiding research at doctorate level
OR
An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant contribution to knowledge. In exceptional cases, the teachers with 15 years of Under Graduate Teaching / Research experience could also be considered. Out of total experience mentioned above, FIVE years of experience must be in the concerned specialized subject as an Associate Professor or its equivalent post.
(e) Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as per Government of Gujarat rules. If the candidate without having passed CCC+ examination is selected, he / she will have to pass the said examination during the
2. Associate Professor & its equivalent: 27posts
Qualification:
(a) Second Class Bachelor's degree in the concerned faculty.
(b) A Master's degree in the concerned faculty with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
(c) Ph.D. in subject related to the concerned field.
(d) Five years of experience of teaching and/or research/ extension education excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree.
The candidate should have made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula. Out of total five years experience, THREE years of experience must be in the field of concerned specialized subject as Assistant Professor or its equivalent post.
(e) Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as per Government of Gujarat rules. If the candidate without having passed CCC+ examination is selected, he / she will have to pass the said examination during the probation period, failing which his / her services will be terminated
3. Assistant Professor & its equivalent: 08posts
Qualification:
(a) Second class Bachelor's degree in the concerned faculty.
(b) Good academic record with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade at the Master's degree level in the relevant subject.
(c) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR.
(d) Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as per Government of Gujarat rules. If the candidate without having passed CCC+ examination is selected, he / she will have to pass the said examination during the probation period, failing which, his / her services will be terminated
Fee:
A crossed Demand Draft of State Bank of India payable at Junagadh Branch (Code No. 03251) amounting to Rs. 500/- (Non-refundable) in favour of "Junagadh Agricultural University Fund Account

An application in prescribed proforma, available on website, www.jau.in should be filled in completely and supported with attested copies of certificates of qualifications and experience should reach the Registrar, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh – 362 001.
