Anna University, applications are invited for admission to first year B. E. / B. Tech. / B. Arch. Degree Courses for the year 2012 – 13 from the eligible Other State candidates for the seats reserved in the University Departments of Anna University. Offered Programmes: B. E., B. Tech. & B. Arch.
Number of seats: 50
Duration of the Programmes:
• B. E. / B. Tech.: 4 years comprising of 8 semesters
• B. Arch.: 5 Academic years comprising of 10 semesters
Eligibility:
For B. E. / B. Tech.
Applicant should be a citizen of India but not a native of Tamil Nadu. A certificate of Permanent residence in the format given in Certificate I should be furnished.
Minimum qualification:
A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects as prescribed in item.
OR
Any other equivalent qualification with relevant subjects approved by the Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu.
Candidates at HSC (Academic) and Other Equivalent Examinations
Note:
When the candidates produce grade certificates, they have to produce the actual marks also otherwise only the minimum marks applicable to the grades in the eligible subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) will be taken into account.
For B. Arch.
HSC (Academic)/Equivalent
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
General category candidates should have secured not less than 50 % marks in aggregate.
SC/ ST candidates should have secured not less than 45 % marks in aggregate.
Diploma
Candidates who have passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments.
