Qualification: 

Good Academic record with at least 55 %of marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,B,C,D,E&F at the MA level in History from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.

Desirable: A PhD degree in the relevant subject or research work of an equally high standard
