DA-IICT, a UGC recognised statutory university, has announced Admission to the twelfth Batch (2012 Batch) of its B.Tech (ICT) program. For Admission procedure for Indian Citizens please refer this post.
Selection Process
Admission to the 2012 Batch of B Tech (ICT) program will be based on the All India Rank of AIEEE 2012 (All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2012), which is being conducted by CBSE. Therefore, only candidates who are appearing for AIEEE 2012 can apply for this program of DA-IICT.
The short-listed candidates, based on the All India Ranking of AIEEE 2012, will be called for counselling at Gandhinagar and will be offered admission in order of their merit (based on the All India Ranking of AIEEE 2012).
A limited number of seats will be offered through a separate channel called ‘Direct Admission of Foreign and NRI Students’ (DAFS) to Non-Resident Indians, Foreign Nationals and Persons of Indian Origin. Number of Seats
The intake will be 240. All seats will be filled, on the basis of the All India Rank of AIEEE 2012, from the candidates passing their qualifying examination (12th standard or equivalent). The intake policy detail will be updated on our website as and when required information is available with us. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories will be admitted on relaxed criteria as compared to the general category candidates. In case some of the reserved seats are not filled, the unfilled seats will be transferred to the general category.
In addition to these 240 seats, 24 seats will be offered to Non-Resident Indians/Foreign Nationals through DAFS. The Institute may change the number of seats without any notice.
Eligibility
The minimum academic qualification for admission in the program is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (mentioned below). The candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2012 are also eligible to apply for consideration of provisional admission. All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 examination or equivalent) to the Institute latest by 30 October 2012, failing which such provisional admission will stand cancelled.
If a candidate is found ineligible at a later date, even after admission to DA-IICT, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. The decision of the concerned authorities of DA-IICT regarding eligibility of any candidate shall be final.
A list of qualifying examinations is given below:- The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Education, including Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
- Intermediate Science or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognised Board/University.
- Final Examination of the Two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
- Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system.
- H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
- Three or four-year diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
Date of Birth
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October 1987 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the 10th or 12th standard certificate, as issued by the Board/University only, will be taken as authentic. Candidates must produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling.

At the time of counselling an amount of Rs. 50,000 (Rs. 40,000 towards Tuition Fee for the First Semester and Rs. 10,000 towards Caution Deposit) is to be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘DA-IICT’, payable at Ahmedabad. Subsequently, fees are charged semester-wise, at the registration of each semester. The Institute reserves the right to revise the fee and payment structure.
Submission of Application Form
The prescribed DA-IICT Application Form can be availed as under:
- The Form along with the Information Brochure and Admission Procedure can be availed for Rs. 1100 at select Branches of Axis Bank (formerly UTI Bank) given in the following link.
- List and address of the branches of Axis Bank (formerly UTI Bank) where Application Forms are available.
- Alternatively, it can be obtained by sending a demand draft, of Rs. 1200 drawn in favour of “DA-IICT” and payable at Ahmedabad, to the address given at the end. Candidates must write their name and complete mailing address with phone number on the back of the demand draft. DA-IICT will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay.
