University of Calcutta Research Eligibility Test (RET – 2012) for Ph.D

University of Calcutta, Department of Botany, Kolkata invites applications from eligible candidates to Research Eligibility Test (RET – 2012) for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Botany for the Academic Year 2012. Interested candidates can refer this post for more details and apply.

Eligibility: 
Post Graduate students of Botany (or allied disciplines, subject to endorsement by the concerned Ph.D. Committee).

Selection Process: 
Selection of the candidate is done on the basis of RET (Research Eligibility Test), followed by an interview.

Note: Candidates who have cleared NET / SET / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship or having M Phil / M Tech / M Pharm degree are exempted from the entrance test. However, they will have to appear in the personal interview.

How to Apply: 
Candidates can download the application form from the official website of the University: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/
The duly filled-in application form, complete in all respect, should be submitted to the Head of the Department of Botany, Calcutta University on or before the last date of application. 

Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 100/- either in cash or through DD at the cash section of the University latest by April 19, 2012.

• Last Date for Submission of Application Forms: 19/04/2012
• RET – 2012 is On: 27/04/2012 at 1:00 pm
• Declaration of Names of Candidates Eligible for Interview: 07/05/2012
• Date of Interview: 11/05/2012
