Total No. of Seats: 13 Eligibility: First-class graduates with minimum aggregate average of 70% marks (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Architecture from a recognized University/Institute are eligible to apply. The candidates should have qualified in GATE 2011 or 2012. Final year students who will secure the eligible degree before the commencement of the course can also apply. Age Limit: Not more than 28 years as on July 31, 2012 (relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST). Stipend: For the one year course, CMRL will pay the candidates a stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month and also the necessary sponsorship and tuition fees to IIT Madras. Selection Process: The candidates short listed based on the GATE score and qualifying examination will be called for a test/interview which will be conducted at IIT Madras in coordination with CMRL. Final selection will be subject to medical fitness.
