Constable (Driver): 752posts
Qualification:
(i) 10th Pass
(ii) Should be able to drive heavy vehicles with confidence.
(iii) Valid HTV driving licence for driving heavy motor vehicles
(iv) Should possess knowledge of maintenance of vehicles
Physical Standard:
Height: Minimum 170cms.
Relaxable by 5cms for residents of hill areas & ST candidates
Chest: Minimum 81cms to 85cms (with minimum of 4cms expansion).
Relaxable by 5cms for residents of hill areas & ST candidates
Physical Endurance Test (Qualifying)
For All Candidates Including Ex-Servicemen And Departmental Candidates (Age-Wise) Will Be As Under:
Age: Up to 30 years, Race 1600mtrs: 7 Minutes, Long jump: 12 ½ Feet & High
Jump: 3 ½ Feet
Age: Above 30 years to 40 years, Race 1600mtrs: 8 Minutes, Long jump: 11 ½
Feet & High Jump: 3 ½ Feet
Age: Above 40 years, Race 1600mtrs: 9 Minutes, Long jump: 10 ½ Feet & High
Jump: 3 Feet
Written Test:
Those candidates, who qualify the Physical Endurance & Measurement Tests, shall be put through a written test which will be of 90 minutes duration which will carry 100 marks comprising 100 questions.
The question paper will be of objective type and includes questions of General Awareness [30 Marks], Reasoning and Numerical Ability [10 Marks] and Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, Traffic Rules/Signals [60 Marks]. The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi)
Trade Test:
The candidates who come within the range of merit equal to thrice the number of vacancies in each category, i.e. Genl./OBC/SC/ST and Ex-servicemen will be called for the trade test.
Driving license of all the candidates who qualify the written test will be verified and only those candidates whose driving licences are found genuine will be allowed to appear in the trade test.
In case any driving license is found fake/forged, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled straightaway without assigning any reason and legal action as per law will also be initiated.
The trade test will only be for qualifying purpose. The test will include: Driving (a) Forward, (b) Reverse, (c) Parking & (d) Knowledge of traffic signs/basic driving rules
Fee:
Applicants need to pay application fee of Rs. 100/- in form of Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque in favour of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi payable at Delhi. SC/ST/EXSM are exempted from payment of Fee
