University of Calcutta Ph.D. in Physics Admissions 2012-2013

University of Calcutta, Department of Physics, Kolkata invites applications from the eligible candidates for admission into Ph.D. Program and subsequent research work leading to Ph.D. degree in physics for the Academic Year 2012. Interested candidates can refer this post for more details and apply. Last date for application is 25-07-2012.

Eligibility:

Candidates who have already passed UGC/ CSIR(JRF) Examinations/ NET/ SET/ SLET/ GATE/ Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations or passed the M.Phil./ M.Tech or equivalent examination are eligible and need not appear at the written examination, but have to appear at the interview.

Candidates who have appeared in the final semester of the qualifying examination can also apply.

Final mark sheet showing that the candidate has indeed passed that qualifying examination should be produced at the time of joining the Ph.D. program.

How to Apply:

Candidates who wish to pursue research work through this Department should apply (can be downloaded from the departmental webpage at 

http://www.physics-caluniv.in/admissions.html 

by paying Rs. 100/- through a challan obtainable from College Street Campus (Sales Counter).

The filled-in application form, along with the challan, should be submitted to the Office, Department of Physics on or before by given date.

Important Dates:

Last Date for Submission of Application Forms: 26/07/2012

Written Test is on: 30/07/2012 at 12:00 pm

Interview is on: 01st and 2nd August 2012 at 11:00 am

Final List of Selected Candidates is Displayed on: 06/08/2012
