Eligibility:
- M. Tech./ M.E./ M. Arch/ M. Pharm in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate in the M.E./ M. Tech. level from a recognized technical institute or university.
- B. Tech/ B.E./ MCA/ B. Arch/ B. Pharm in relevant discipline with at least 7.0 CGPA or 65% marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university.
- M. Sc./ M. Com./ MBA/ PGDBM/ PGDM/ MA in relevant discipline with at least 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks or equivalent in aggregate from a recognized institute or university.
- ICWAI / CA / PGDM from IIMs without any restriction with respect to marks
- MBBS / BDS without any restriction with respect to marks
- The minimum CGPA / marks shall be relaxed by 0.5 CGPA or 5% in case of candidates belonging to the SC / ST categories.
- Valid GATE score / NET qualification as per MHRD norm is mandatory.
- Qualifying in NET is mandatory for post graduate (M. Sc / MA / M. Com., etc.) candidates in on engineering / technology disciplines.
Selection Process:
- Short listed candidates will be posted on Institute website on September 13, 2012.
- Eligible candidates without a valid GATE score / NET qualification will take a written admission test conducted in the department followed by, a viva voce with the Central Admission Committee on the same day.
- GATE / NET qualified candidates shall not have to appear for the written admission test and shall appear for viva voce only.

- Application in prescribed format must reach the Dean (Research & Consultancy), PG & Research Cell, Academic Section, National Institute Technology Durgapur, Durgapur 713 209, West Bengal, India.
