Eligibility:
Ph.D. in Neuroscience: Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology from a recognized Institute / University or A minimum of four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized Institute / University Candidates appearing for final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. Only the candidates with at least 55% (for SC / ST / PH candidates, 50%) marks or equivalent grade from secondary (10th) examination onwards will be considered Integrated M.Sc. – Ph.D. in Neuroscience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology / Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized Institute / University Candidates appearing for final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. Only the candidates with at least 55% (for SC / ST / PH candidates, 50%) marks or equivalent grade from secondary (10th) examination onwards will be considered Selection Process: Selection of the candidate is done on the basis of Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) OR Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE – 2012 / GATE – 2013) Candidates will be short-listed for a two-tier interview based on their performance in the JGEEBILS examination or their score in the GATE examination How to Apply: JGEEBILS: Candidates should first apply for JGEEBILS at http://www.ncbs.res.in For more details follow the given link: http://www.nbrc.ac.in/admissions_2013/app_procedure.html GATE: For GATE procedure follow the given link: http://www.nbrc.ac.in/admissions_2013/app_gateprocedure.html Application Fees: For General Online applicants: Rs. 300/- Offline applicants: Rs. 350/- For SC / ST / PH • Online applicants: Rs. 150/- • Offline applicants: Rs. 200/- The application fee should be submitted by a DD drawn in favour of Director, National Brain Research Centre payable at Gurgaon or Manesar The candidates must send the DD to Registrar, National Brain Research Centre, Manesar-122051 Dist.
